We were commissioned by Swan Hill Properties
for the redesign, conversion and extension of a
former boatyard complex at a marina fronting the
Thames at Staines into offices for owner
occupation.
The buildings are located in a small business park
where all buildings were of similar design and
appearance. The new design gives the buildings
an individual identity by the addition of elements
that emphasise their Marina setting and contrast
strongly with the other buildings in the business
park. Additional floor space has been increased by
the creation of a mezzanine floor within the
existing building envelope and car parking space
has been increased by decking across the marina
basin with a bow string arch.
