17-19 Cockspur Street has
been the headquarters of the
Canadian National Railway
Company since the building
was constructed in 1907 to the
design of Sir Aston Webb. It is
a Listed Grade 2 building.
We were commissioned by the
Canadian National Railway
Company for the complete
renovation and upgrade of the
building, to meet the demands
of a new century. Part of the
commission included the
restoration of the front facade.
The GRC shop front built in the 1970's was removed and the original stone facade designed by Aston
Webb has been rebuilt and restored. We reconstructed the design of the facade from archive material
and old photographs and re-established the integrity of the building.
